At least seven people have been killed in an explosion at a police building in the Republic of Ingush in southern Russia Tuesday, local media reported.

The building of the South Caucasus region's bailiffs office went down in ruins at around 09:50 Moscow time (0650 GMT) following a blast caused by gas leak, according to regional authority.

Rescuers have pulled out 28 people from the debris, said the regional center of the Emergencies Ministry.
