Three people from the same family were killed and another was wounded by two gunmen Monday in northern Colombia, police said.

Three people, including two minors identified as brothers, were shot dead in a barbershop in Crete, in northern Colombia. A 13-year-old girl was injured in the shooting and transferred to a local hospital, authorities said.

Police have started a search for the gunmen but said their whereabouts and motives were unknown.

Cordoba's governor said surging violence in the province caused by a turf war between rival drug gangs has killed at least 575 people.
