A portion of Millennium Park in downtown Chicago has been evacuated Saturday evening due to a suspicious device found at the scene, Chicago Tribune reported.

The area surrounding the Cloud Gate, a sculpture and a restaurant in Millennium Park, has been evacuated as fire and police officials investigate a suspicious package Saturday.

A device was found reportedly wrapped in duct tape with wires visible, according to Fire Department spokesman Will Knight.

As of about 7:35 p.m. local time, firefighters are responding to the scene, according to Knight, and an evacuation of the immediate area was put into effect.
