Haiti's National Assembly Thursday began the process to confirm the nomination of Daniel Gerard Rouzier as the country's new prime minister.

Rouzier, nominated by newly-inaugurated President Michel Martelly, has presented the neceesary documents to the parliament in accordance with the Constitution, local press reported.

If Rouzier's nomination is approved, he will present his agenda to the parliament for approval, too.
