Military powder magazine explodes outside Havana

A military powder magazine loaded with munitions exploded in Santiago de las Vegas town in the south of Havana, Cuba's capital, without report of any victims, official press said on Sunday.
A series of explosions occurred in the powder magazine of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) near that town on Saturday night at 8 p.m. local time (0100 GMT).
The explosion was contained two hours and 45 minutes after the first explosion.
The inhabitants of the area immediately evacuated the zone and the authorities are investigating the causes of the explosion.
