All seven hostages were released after a five-hour standoff at a Chase Bank in the U.S. state of Texas, police said Friday.

Two armed robbers entered the Chase Bank in the Texas city of Pearland at about 11:30 a.m. Friday, taking seven people hostage and wounding a bank manager, police said.

Three hours later, five hostages were released and two remained inside the bank, while one of the two robbers surrendered to police, according to the newspaper Houston Chronicle.

More than 50 police officers and FBI agents have reportedly surrounded the bank and sealed off surrounding streets.

At around 4 p.m., the remaining two hostages were released and the other suspect surrendered and was taken into custody, according the newspaper.
