6.2-magnitude quake hits Near Islands, Aleutian Islands, Alaska -- USGS

An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted Near Islands, Aleutian Islands, Alaska at 14:00:31 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 28.00 km, was initially determined to be at 52.7240 degrees north latitude and 170.8350 degrees east longitude.
