Google on Tuesday unveiled a new "Instant Previews" feature of its search engine, which the company said will enable users to evaluate and choose the right search results in a faster way.
"Instant Previews provides a graphic overview of a search result and highlights the most relevant sections, making finding the right page as quick and easy as flipping through a magazine," Raj Krishnan, a Google product manager, said in a blog post.
To use the feature, people can click on the "magnifying glass" next to the title of any search result and a visual overview of the page will appear on the right.
The new feature can load preview result in less than one-tenth of a second, while many of today's websites usually take four or five seconds to load, Krishnan noted.
Google said it is rolling out Instant Previews now and the new feature should be available in more than 40 languages in the next few days.
