The Dominican Republic Tuesday launched a national campaign to stop the possible spread of cholera, which has already killed almost 300 people in neighboring Haiti.
Presidency press director Rafael Nunez told reporters that the campaign aims to prevent the spread of cholera with the collaboration of Haiti.
The campaign mainly focuses on providing information and guidance on the disease for the Dominican people, including a list of the symptoms of cholera and how to prevent the disease. This information will be posted on the websites of various public institutions.
The campaign was joined by at least 26 government institutions.
