White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Obama will travel to California, Oregon and Nevada next week for fundraisers and rallies for Democrats, seeking to boost voter support for the party ahead of the Nov. 2 midterm elections.
According to the White House, Obama will travel to Delaware, Massachusetts, and Ohio later this week, following an appearance Monday in Miami, Florida in a fundraiser at the home of retired Miami Heat basketball star Alonzo Mourning.
Obama's schedule became heavy with visits out of Washington D.C. in recent days. Last week, he went on the campaign trail in New Jersey, Maryland, Illinois and Pennsylvania.
With polls suggesting Republicans could make big gains in the mid-term elections, Obama and Democratic leaders are frantically trying to reverse the tide, and get core voters fired up.
