At least 22 people were injured when two trains collided in central Cuba, authorities said Friday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night, when a passenger train bumped into a cargo train near Esperanza in the central province of Villa Clara, Railway Enterprise of Cuba Director Yunior Alfonso Ruiz told reporters.
Most of the injuries are minor and only one of the wounded remains in the hospital, he said. Three cars of the cargo train were also damaged in the incident.
