Mexico, U.S. to strengthen fight against organized crime

Mexican and U.S. justice officials met here Thursday to discuss the strengthening of their fight against organized crime.
Mexican General Prosecutor Arturo Chavez met a U.S. delegation headed by a senior U.S. Justice Department official, Lanny Breuer.
Breuer said his department is greatly interested in a close collaboration with Mexico's General Prosecutor's Office to combat drug trafficking and organized crime.
Chavez said to achieve that goal it is necessary for the authorities of both countries to better coordinate in future investigations.
