Colombia's Uribe arrives to attend Chilean new president's inauguration

Colombian President Alvaro Uribe arrived on Wednesday to attend the inauguration of Chilean President-elect Sebastian Pinera.
Upon his arrival at Santiago International Airport at 4: 30 p.m. local time (1930 GMT), Uribe expressed sympathy and solidarity with the Chileans who were affected by the Feb. 27 quake .
"I know that Chile will overcome this tragedy," Uribe said. "We wish the great nation of Chile every success."
The 8.8-magnitude quake on Feb. 27 is Chile's second strongest on record, having killed at least 529 people and left hundreds of thousands of Chileans homeless. The initial property damage estimate stood at some 30 billion U.S. dollars.
