Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Manuel Coronel Thursday rebuked the Honduran National Congress for not reinstating ousted President Manuel Zelaya.

At a press conference, Coronel said Honduras must find a solution to the current political crisis in accordance with the Constitution.

The majority of Honduran lawmakers Wednesday voted against Zelaya's reinstitution. Zelaya was deposed by a military coup on June 28.

Coronel also criticized U.S. performances in the Honduran standoff as "shameless," saying it has attempted to divide the Latin American people on the issue.

Nicaragua has not recognized the results of Honduras' presidential election on Nov. 29, in which opposition candidate Porfirio Lobo was declared the winner.
