Two people were shot in an apartment in the Albany Park neighborhood in northern Chicago early Monday morning, Chicago police said.
Witnesses told police the shots came from a third-floor apartment, said Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
When police entered the apartment, they found the man and woman critically wounded in a bedroom. A 20-year-old man was shot in the arm and throat. The other victim, a 18-year-old woman, was shot in the abdomen, Alfaro said.
Both victims were taken to a nearby medical center but were later pronounced dead, Alfaro said.
A press release of Chicago Police department said police are investigating the incident.
