The corpse of a man from Hong Kong who went missing in the waters off Subic Bay in north Philippines was recovered by a search and rescue team on Monday night, local media reported Tuesday.

The victim, Tin Shun Chuen, was found at around 8 p.m. His companion, Steve Brittian, a U.S. dive expert, remains missing.

The two went scuba diving at a wreck of the USS New York in the waters of Subic on Sunday afternoon, according to Orlando Madela, head of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority law enforcement department.

Johan de Sadeleir, owner of the dive shop where the two rented their gear, said it was supposed to be a fun dive.

Brittian's wife, Melanie, is hoping her husband is still alive.
