5.4-magnitude quake hits Vanuatu -- USGS

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted Vanuatu at 1500 GMT on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The epicenter, with a depth of 57.10 km, was initially determined to be at 17.2269 degrees south latitude and 167.3454 degrees east longitude.
