Vietnam, S Korea eye cooperation in industrial designing

A seminar on "Vietnam-Republic of Korea: Cooperation and experience sharing in industrial designing" was opened on Monday in southern Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event was held by the city's trade promotion department, under the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT), and the Korean Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), under the South Korean Ministry of Finance and Economy, and the Korea Designer's Council (KDC).

Participants to the seminar included Vietnam's leading experts in designing and KIDP and KDC's industrial designers. They exchanged information and made presentations about South Korea's policies on relevant businesses, Vietnam's development of designing, branding and packaging industries.

South Korean experts also provided on-the-spot consultation for Vietnamese businesses in the area, aimed at helping the latter boost their ability in designing and improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese exports to South Korea and other countries.
