Quadrennial local elections would be held in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on June 24, the official KCNA news agency said Tuesday.

Quoting an announcement from the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, it said the elections for deputies to province (municipality), city (district) and county-level people's assemblies would take place in accordance with the country's constitution and decisions of the local people's committees.

The elections for deputies to local people's assemblies are held every four years in the DPRK.
