Vietnamese PM meets with Russian Security Council Secretary

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received the visiting Russian Security Council Secretary, General Nikolai Platonovich Patrushev, in central Nha Trang city on Thursday.

Vietnam has attached great importance and strongly promoted cooperation with Russia in all fields, and will try to its utmost together with Russia to develop the bilateral relations further and with efficiency, Dung addressed at the reception.

The Vietnamese leader highly appraised results gained from working sessions between the Russian Security Council delegation and Vietnamese relevant bodies.

He affirmed Vietnam's support to the signed cooperative agreements between the two countries, and recommended Russia's support to Vietnam in personnel and scientific-technical training, and supply of specific security equipment.

Vietnam and Russia should continue facilitating economic, trade and investment cooperation and providing favorable conditions to Russian investors in Vietnam, Dung said.

The exchange of meetings by Vietnamese and Russian high-ranking officials has contributed to development of the bilateral relations being considered strategic partnership, General Patrushev said.
