"As many as 10 killed and 32 injured people were admitted to provincial hospital in Kandahar city Tuesday morning," a health official in Kandahar hospital told Xinhua.

The death toll could rise, as many injured remain in critical conditions.

The blast was a roadside bombing that targeted a vehicle carrying workers of a development project in Panjwayi district at around 9:30 a.m. local time, a police officer in the district told Xinhua.
