Operation against terrorist attack on navy air base in Pakistan completed

A local Urdu TV channel ARY Monday quoted a navy spokesman as saying that an operation against the terrorist attack on a navy air base in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi was completed after nearly 14 and half hours of fight within the base.

A total of 13 army personnel including 11 navy officers and two rangers were killed in the fight which first broke out at about 10: 30 p.m. local time Sunday night, said the spokesman, adding that a search operation inside a building where the terrorists last retreated to in the air base is underway and a press conference about the incident will be held soon.
