Moderate quake hits Fiji region - USGS

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale Thursday jolted Fiji region at 11:35 local time ( 2335 GMT on Wed), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 608.90 km, was initially determined to be at 17.8515 degrees south latitude and 178.5351 degrees west longitude.
