At least five people were killed and 25 others were injured in a suicide car bomb attack at a police station Thursday morning in Hangu, a city in northwest Pakistan, reported local Urdu TV channel Duniya.

According to the report, the attack took place at about 07:35 a. m. (local time) when an explosive-laden car hit a police station in the city which is located some 80 km southwest of Peshawar, the largest city in northwest Pakistan.

The suicide bomber killed himself right on the spot. At least one policeman was killed in the attack. The blast also seriously damaged the buildings around the police station.

Thursday's terrorist attack is the second of its kind in the city over the last 24 hours. On Wednesday morning, a remote- control bomb hit a police van patrolling on the street of Hangu, injuring six cops inside a van.
