6.0-magnitude earthquake hits off Japan's Honshu - CENC

An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale on Tuesday jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 5:49 p.m. Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Network Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 20 km, was monitored at 37.4 degrees north latitude and 142.4 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
