6.0-magnitude quake hits off east coast of Honshu, Japan -- USGS

An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted off the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 1137 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 24.80 km, was initially determined to be at 37.3484 degrees north latitude and 142.4160 degrees east longitude.
