Moderate quake rocks western Indonesia

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5. 8 struck off western parts of Indonesia on Sunday, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency reported.

The quake jolted at 18:21 p.m. Jakarta time (1121 GMT) with the epicenter at 253 km southwest of Ujungkulon of Bantern province of western Java island and with the depth at 10 km, the agency said.

The USGS also reported the quake at a magnitude of 5.8 with the depth at 28.1 km.
