Afghans, NATO experience bloody day as 10 soldiers killed, 36 injured

Afghans and NATO-led multinational peacekeeping forces experienced a bloody day Wednesday as four soldiers of the military alliance and six Afghans were killed and three dozen others were injured in Taliban-linked activities, officials confirmed.

Four soldiers of NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in two separate incidents, carried out by Taliban in the eastern and southern region of country, the military alliance said in statements.

"Three International Security Assistance Force service members died following an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in eastern Afghanistan today,"the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a brief statement issued here.

The military alliance in another statement also confirmed losing another soldier in Taliban hub, the troubled southern region on the same day Wednesday.

"An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan today,"ISAF statement asserted.
