NATO condemns suicide attack on Afghan intelligence service

The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) strongly condemned the suicide attack against Afghan intelligence service - National Directorate for Security in the capital city Kabul on Wednesday.

"The International Security Assistance Force condemns today's indiscriminate insurgent attack in Kabul city which killed at least two Afghans and injured at least 32 more," ISAF said in the statement.

"At least one Afghan civilian and one member of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) were killed in the blast. The wounded include NDS personnel, several hospital patients and civilians," it further added.

Initial reports indicate an insurgent on a motorcycle detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in front of a hospital in Kabul city Wednesday, the statement further said.

Previously Afghan officials said three were killed, including the suicide bomber and 29 others were injured.
