An elderly pilot died on Tuesday, after his ultralight plane crashed to the ground in Victoria's north-west of Australia.
According to Victorian police, it is believed the aircraft crashed into a paddock about 3:30 p.m. local time at Cullulleraine off the Sturt Highway in Victoria.
Inspector Simon Clemence said the 72 years old man was the sole occupant of the plane.
"Sometime shortly before 4:00 p.m. we got a call that a light plane had crashed," he told ABC News on Tuesday. "We sent a unit down here from Werrimull and a short time later confirmed there was one deceased."
An Ambulance spokesman said there was no other person on board the plane.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
