6.3-magnitude earthquake jolts Fiji

An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale jolted south of the Fiji Islands at 16:34 Tuesday Beijing Time (0834 GMT), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter was monitored at 23.3 degrees south latitude and 179.7 degrees west longitude with a depth of about 540 kilometers, the center said.

There has been no reports of casualties or damages so far.
