Magnitude-5.9 quake hits Banda Sea region of Indonesia: Hong Kong Observatory

A magnitude-5.9 earthquake jolted the Banda Sea region of Indonesia around 1136 GMT on Wednesday, said the Hong Kong Observatory.

The epicenter, about 420 km south southeast of Indonesia's Ambon, was monitored at 7.4 degrees south latitude and 128.9 degrees east longitude.
