6.1-magnitude quake hits Bougainville region, Papua New Guinea

An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted Bougainville region, Papua New Guinea, on Monday at 01:14:43 GMT, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 144.80 km, was initially determined to be at 6.5632 degrees south latitude and 155.6583 degrees east longitude.
