Insurgents attack leave NATO soldier dead in S Afghanistan

A soldier with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed on Tuesday in insurgents attack in Afghanistan's restive southern provinces, the military alliance said in a press release.
"An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan Tuesday," ISAF said in the brief press release issued here.
The nationality and position of the victim had not been revealed in the press release, adding, "It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities."
Two ISAF soldiers were killed in Taliban-linked activities in the same region on Monday.
More than 600 NATO soldiers with majority of them Americans have been killed in Afghanistan since beginning this year.
