Photo exhibition on "A Glimpse of Russia" opens in Hanoi

The photo exhibition themed "A Glimpse of Russia" opened in Vietnam's capital city of Hanoi on Saturday.

Co-organized by Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Russian news agency ITAR-TASS and the Russian Embassy in Vietnam, the exhibition is one of the activities welcoming the visit of Russian delegation to the 17th ASEAN Summit and related summits.

In his opening speech, the president of VNA Tran Mai Huong said that in the past 52 years, VNA and ITAR-TASS have maintained close cooperation and helped each other in their respective work.

The photo exhibition, with 100 photos taken by reporters from VNA and ITAR-TASS, will enhance mutual understanding and trust, and bring Vietnamese people closer to the Russian people and culture, Huong said.

ITAR-TASS Deputy General Director Mikhail Kalmykov attended the exhibition and cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

He expressed his gratitude to the Vietnamese reporters who took the photos.

The exhibition is scheduled to last till Nov. 5.
