Afghan provincial governor killed in blast: official

Abdul Jabar Taqur, governor of Takhar province, told Xinhua via telephone that the Kunduz governor was killed in a mine blast at a mosque in Taloqan, capital city of Takhar province.
Some 20 other people were killed and injured in the blast, said Taqur, adding that it was a mine explosion launched by anti- government militants.
The killed Kunduz governor has a house in Taloqan city.
