The assembly of two Sukhoi Su-27 SKM fighter jets continues at Hasanuddin Air Force Base in Makassar, South Sulawesi province, despite the mysterious death of three Russian supervisors recently, local media reported on Wednesday.

"The jet assembly is continuing, it has not been disrupted by the incidents," Makassar Air Force Base Commander First Marshal Agus Supriatna was quoted by the Jakarta Post online as saying, adding that another Russian team is responsible for the jet assembly.

The three ill-fated Russians were members of a Russian warranty team monitoring the assembly of the fighter jets ordered by Indonesia. Their deaths were allegedly related to heart attack, earlier reports said.

The Russian Embassy in Jakarta sent a doctor to Makassar on Tuesday to monitor the medical treatment of two other Russian crews, who were being treated at a local hospital.
