The embassy spokesman said NATO supply lines are open and continue to operate.
While there have been slower transit times for the flow of NATO cargo to Afghanistan as a result of Pakistan's flooding, there has been no significant impact on ISAF operations or NATO supply routes, he said.
Local daily The News reported that the supply line for Afghanistan-based NATO forces, which has been cut because of devastating floods in Pakistan, may not be restored shortly.
Quoting a Taliban commander, the newspaper said that the NATO supply line through Pakistan has been cut because of devastating floods.
