Suicide attack kills 3, wounds 18 in northern Afghan province

A suicide bomber blew himself up in Kunduz province north of Afghanistan killed three and injured 18 others on Saturday night, Interior Ministry said in a press release on Sunday.
"A terrorist strapped explosive device on his body blew himself up in 1st precinct of Kunduz city the capital of Kunduz province late Saturday night killing three persons including one police officer and two civilians and wounding 18 others, all civilians," the press release added.
The Interior Ministry describes it as an act against humanity and strongly condemned it, the press release further said.
A relatively peaceful province in north Afghanistan, Kunduz has been the scene of increasing militancy since beginning this year.
