Romanian FM to visit S Korea for talks

Romanian foreign minister is due in Seoul for talks with his South Korean counterpart, as the two country mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties, the Foreign Ministry of Korea said Friday.

Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi is scheduled to meet with Seoul's top diplomat Yu Myung-hwan on July 6 to discuss bolstering bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy and cultural exchanges.

The two ministers will sign what is called an "action plan" on enhancing their bilateral relations, according to the ministry.

Basconschi's three-day visit comes when South Korea and Romania celebrate 20 years of official diplomatic ties.
