Australian federal government on Tuesday launched a new space website to showcase space exploration.
Science Minister Kim Carr said the website makes access to Labor Party's 40 million dollars (34.63 million U.S. dollars) space research program easier and more visible.
"It will help inform people about how space activities and technologies, such as satellite navigation and communication, affect our day-to-day lives," Carr said in a statement.
"The site will support the efforts of my department's space policy unit to coordinate Australia's national and international civil space activities."
The site (www.space.gov.au) would also act as a point of contact for international organizations looking to work with the Australian space sector.
