Czech President Vaclav Klaus named Petr Necas as the country's new prime minister on Monday and empowered him to form a government.
Petr Necas, leader of the Civic Democratic Party, will line the government up with two new coalition parties TOP 09 and Public Affairs. These three parties together won a majority of seats in the lower house of parliament during the May elections.
