Philippines' First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo is out of the hospital almost a week after his spinal surgery, local media reports said.
Arroyo spoke briefly with reporters on Friday to tell them that his "pain in the bank is gone," Philippine Daily Inquirer said.
The First Gentleman has been in and out of the hospital for various health reasons. Last Saturday's surgery was meant to avoid a tear in his aorta after he complained that his back pain had become unbearable earlier that week.
Arroyo will turn 64 on June 27.
