Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva on Tuesday appointed a 19-member committee in charge of charter amendments as part of a national reconciliation plan, Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, the committee's chairman said.
Sombat, who was quoted by a report of the Nation, said he would convene his 19-member committee's first meeting on Thursday and that the review of charter provisions should complete by October.
"The review is expected to make recommendations on charter amendments based on six issues studied by the reconciliation committee," he said.
