85 suspects detained in Pakistan's Lahore

Following the terror alert, Lahore police Friday arrested 85 suspected persons in different raids conducted across the capital of Pakistan's eastern province of Punjab, police sources said.
Earlier, security agencies cautioned that terrorists could carry out terror acts during Friday prayers in Lahore.
According to a private TV channel, in the wake of threat, police set up check posts at entry and exit points of the city and conducted strict checking of the suspected persons and vehicles.
Police officer Chaudhry Shafiq told media that a full-fledged search operation was underway in Lahore.
More than 90 people were killed and 108 others injured in a terrorists attack on two worship places of a minority group on May 28. In a report issued by security agencies, it was said that all recent acts of terrorism had happened on Friday.
