An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit Northern Sumatra, Indonesia at 0924 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter was initially determined to be at 4.803 degrees north latitude and 95.839 degrees east longitude.
