A government-to-government contract worth 2.8 billion pesos (60. 6 million U.S. dollars) was recently signed by the Philippine Defence Department and its Polish counterpart.
"We expect initial delivery of four units within a year, the Philippine Star quoted Defense Undersecretary for Modernization Antonio Romero as saying.
Poland-based helicopter manufacturer Swidnik will produce the helicopters which, Romero said, had met Philippine Air Force requirements, particularly the lifting capability.
