Local TV channels reported that the police arrested two militants, Sajid and Irfan, at Muridke, a small town near Lahore.
Police said that a pistol was also recovered from the militants and that one is injured.
Sources said that both had escaped on a motorbike.
TV reports said that both arrested militants have been shifted for questioning.
