The Commerce Ministry is confident Thailand's exports for 2010 will grow at least 14 percent year on year, or equivalent to over 170 billion U.S dollars as projected, Commerce Minister, Pornthiva Nakasai said Monday.

The estimation is made amid the intense political situation as troops' operations have continued to besiege the anti-government rally site in central Bangkok aiming to pressure the protestors to end their over-two-month-long rally.

"It is expected that the political situation will ease soon," Thai News Agency quoted Commerce Minister Pornthiva as saying.
