Three people were electrocuted and 22 others were injured in a fatal electricity accident of eastern India on Thursday, local press reported.
The accident occurred when a high voltage wire suddenly fell on a running truck jammed with about 80 people in Vaishali district of Bihar state, the Press Trust of India quoted local police as saying.
A fire broke out inside the vehicle, causing fatal casualties. Local fire fighters rushed to the scene and rescued the injured with severe burns.
Earlier, local police once said 15 people were electrocuted. However, the local police said later, "we have verified from the officials on the spot and the nearby hospitals, only 3 people were killed."
